    Here's a more authentic (but more caloric) hummus:
    Great dip for veggies, pita bread, etc.
    Right now with tomatoes at their peak, I love to cut thick slices of multigrain bread, spread with hummus and sandwich in tomato & sprouts.
    Beats mayo hands down!

    List of Ingredients




    a.. 1 19 oz. can chickpeas, drained and rinsed (or 2 cups cooked)
    b.. 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
    c.. 3 tbsp. tahini (sesame paste)
    d.. 2 cloves garlic, minced
    e.. salt to taste
    f.. 1 tbsp. olive oil
    g.. 1/4 cup fresh parsley

    Place all ingredients in food processor & process until smooth.
