    The Millennium Cookbook: Extraordinary Vegetarian Cuisine" by Eric Tucker & John Westerdahl

    List of Ingredients




    4 cups slightly stale French bread cubes
    1/2 cup water
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    1 teaspoon dried basil
    1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1/4 teaspoon salt

    Recipe



    1. Combine the bread cubes, water, oregano, basil, thyme, paprika and
    salt in a large bowl and mix well. (The amount of water may seem like
    too much, but use the whole amount.)

    2. Spread in a single layer in a jelly roll pan or on a baking sheet.
    Bake on center oven rack in a preheated 350-degree oven 15 minutes,
    stirring every 5 minutes, or until crisp and golden. Cool and store
    in a zip-top food-grade storage bag.

    Makes About 3 1/2 cups
