Corned Irish Stew

List of Ingredients
Put 2 quarts water in a big pot. Add the
following:
1 bay leaf
1 head garlic all cloves peeled
5 cloves
15 peppercorns
2 pinches ground allspice
1 onion whole, peeled
Bring to a boil then reduce heat to
simmer. Let the broth cook for 30 min.
Add to the broth:
Several red potatoes scrubbed and
quartered
1 cup baby carrots
Cook vegetables in the broth until almost then add
done
1/2 head cabbage cut in chunks
1 cup green peas
Recipe
Cook until the cabbage is tender but not soggy. Use a slotted spoon to lift vegetables out of broth and onto the plate.
