List of Ingredients
1 lb. dried lentils
8 oz. chopped green chilies
1 cup chopped green onion
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. cumin, dried
1/2 tsp. saltRecipe
Bring 5 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Rinse and drain lentils, removing any stones that may be present.
Add lentils to water. Cover and simmer 40 minutes over medium heat, until tender.
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly in the pot.
Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Divide into two batches if necessary.
Puree until smooth. If puree is too thick, add 1/4 cup of water.
