    List of Ingredients




    1 small head cabbage (red and/or green), shredded
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 Tablespoon oil
    1/2 cup raisins
    1 large apple, grated
    1/2 cup water
    2 Tablespoons unbleached white flour
    2 Tablespoons vinegar
    1 Tablespoon brown sugar or other granulated sweetener
    2 teaspoons salt
    1/2 cup water

    Recipe



    Saute onions and cabbage in oil in a large frying pan over medium heat for 8 minutes. Add raisins, apple, and 1/2 cup water. Cook 5 minutes longer. In a small jar, shake up flour, vinegar, sugar, salt, and 1/2 cup water. Add to frying pan and cook another 8 minutes. Serve warm

    Variation: Use crushed pineapple instead of grated apples.

    NOTE: I added MorningStar Farms breakfast sausage links to this and let it simmer with the cabbage and it tasted like german sausage with it. My family really enjoyed it. Serve this with a nice green sala d and some mashed potatoes and you have a great meal!
