    Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 can chicken broth
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 1/2 cups of the season blend (the bag of onions,bell pepper,etc.)
    • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon kitchen boquet
    • 2 cups rice
    • Small to Medium pack of chicken(boneless,skinless thighs or breast)
    • 3 links of sausage(about a lb.)- Either smoked sausage or Andouille
    • Tony Chachere's Season- to taste


    Instructions


    1. Cut your chicken in small pieces and slice your sausage.
    2. Season with Tony's and brown.
    3. Pour can of chicken broth in pot on a low fire
    4. Add season blend and garlic
    5. Saute for about 15 minutes uncovered

    6. Add water and more Tony's

    7. Add kitchen bouquet ( stir well-this is going to make the liquid light brown,you can add another 1/2 teaspoon if needed) this comes in a brown bottle with a yellow label on the seasonings isle, This a must!!
    8. Add Chicken and Sausage
    9. Let cook some more on low heat for 10 more minutes covered
    10. Bring to boil

    11. Add rice
    12. Cook on low,low heat covered for 30 minutes.
    13. Then stir well and cook 15 more minuted covered
    14. Taste and if rice is cooked then its cooked!!!


    Final Comments


    We cajuns like to serve this with along with whitebeans! YUM
