    INSTEAD OF RUM, YOU CAN USE 1/3 CUP WATER MIXED WITH 1 TEASPOON OF RUM FLAVOURING. YOU CAN ALSO ADD FINELY CHOPPED DATES TO THE FRUIT MIXTURE.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 CUPS VANILLA WAFER CRUMBS
    • 1 CUP ICING SUGAR
    • 1/4 CUP UNSWEETENED COCOA
    • 1 CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS
    • 1/2 CUP MIXED DRIED FRUIT
    • 1/4 CUP BUTTER, MELTED
    • 1/3 CUP RUM
    • CHOCOLATE SPRINKLES OR TOASTED COCONUT (OPTIONAL)


    Instructions


    1. COMBINE WAFER CRUMBS, ICING SUGAR, COCOA, NUTS AND FRUIT.
    2. STIR TOGETHER BUTTER AND RUM. POUR INTO DRY MIXTURE. STIR UNTIL INGREDIENTS ARE MOISTENED.
    3. PUT ABOUT 1 TEASPOON OF MIXTURE INTO PALM OF HAND AND FORM INTO SHAPE OF A BALL. REPEAT UNTIL ALL MIXTURE IS USED. ROLL BALLS IN CHOCOLATE SPRINKLES OR TOASTED COCONUT (IF DESIRED).
    4. CHILL IN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER IN REFRIGERATOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS.
    5. MAKES ABOUT 40 RUM BALLS.
