RUM BALLS
INSTEAD OF RUM, YOU CAN USE 1/3 CUP WATER MIXED WITH 1 TEASPOON OF RUM FLAVOURING. YOU CAN ALSO ADD FINELY CHOPPED DATES TO THE FRUIT MIXTURE.
List of Ingredients
- 2 CUPS VANILLA WAFER CRUMBS
- 1 CUP ICING SUGAR
- 1/4 CUP UNSWEETENED COCOA
- 1 CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS
- 1/2 CUP MIXED DRIED FRUIT
- 1/4 CUP BUTTER, MELTED
- 1/3 CUP RUM
- CHOCOLATE SPRINKLES OR TOASTED COCONUT (OPTIONAL)
Instructions
- COMBINE WAFER CRUMBS, ICING SUGAR, COCOA, NUTS AND FRUIT.
- STIR TOGETHER BUTTER AND RUM. POUR INTO DRY MIXTURE. STIR UNTIL INGREDIENTS ARE MOISTENED.
- PUT ABOUT 1 TEASPOON OF MIXTURE INTO PALM OF HAND AND FORM INTO SHAPE OF A BALL. REPEAT UNTIL ALL MIXTURE IS USED. ROLL BALLS IN CHOCOLATE SPRINKLES OR TOASTED COCONUT (IF DESIRED).
- CHILL IN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER IN REFRIGERATOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS.
- MAKES ABOUT 40 RUM BALLS.
