    Dad's Famous Butterscotch Cookies

    These yummy cookies need to stay in the fridge overnight, so start the day before.


    List of Ingredients


    • 4 C brown sugar
    • 4 eggs
    • 1 C shortening
    • 6 1/2 C flour
    • 1 tea vanilla
    • 1 tea baking soda
    • 1 tea cream of tarter
    • 1 tea salt


    Instructions


    1. Cream eggs, sugar, and shortening. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients with half of the flour. Knead in the last of the flour and form into 2 long loafs.
    2. Chill 4-6 hours.
    3. Slice and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
