Hotel Colorado's Baked Brie en Croute

List of Ingredients
- Puff pastry (packaged frozen Pepperidge Farm is fine)
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp chopped pecans
- Small wheel of Brie cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- .
- Fresh fruit wedges, such as strawberries, apples, kiwi, oranges
- Crackers or sliced baguette
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees (F).
- Cut a section of puff-pastry sheet to fit around and cover brie. Roll out the sheet evenly to fit completely around the cheese. Place the brown sugar and pecans in the center of the pastry and place the brie on top.
- Wrap the pastry around the brie and press bottom edges together. Turn over the covered brie onto a baking sheet. (You may cut out decorative pieces of leftover pastry to decorate the top.) Brush the top and sides lightly with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20 minutes, until pastry is golden. Remove and cool slightly.
Serve on a platter with assorted fruit slices and crackers or sliced baguette.
