    Beer-Batter Fried Shrimp

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 lbs. fresh shrimp, shelled and cleaned
    • 1 (12-ounce) can beer
    • 1 cup flour
    • 1 Tbsp salt
    • 1 Tbsp paprika
    • Pepper to taste
    • Oil for deep-frying


    Instructions


    1. Drain cleaned shrimp. Pour beer into a mixing bowl. Sift flour, salt, paprika and pepper into beer and beat with a wire whisk until frothy.

    2. Add a portion of the shrimp to the batter, coating well; deep-fry shrimp in hot oil until done.

    3. Lift from oil, drain, then finish draining on paper towels. Repeat the process until all shrimp are fried.
