    Beer-Batter Mushrooms

    List of Ingredients


    • 24 mushrooms
    • 1 package batter mix (eg, commercial "Mushroom Batter" mix or Bisquick)
    • 1 cup beer


    Instructions


    1. Wash mushrooms and trim stems; but do not completely remove all of the stem. Heat oil in a deep fryer or deep skillet with enough oil to cover.

    2. Mix batter according to package directions, except use the beer as the liquid instead of water or milk.

    3. Coat mushrooms with batter, then deep-fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

      These are delicious with Ranch dressing for dipping.

      Serves 4
