    Chili Cheese Dip

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
    • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeno peppers
    • 1 pkg. (3 ounces) cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup chunky salsa
    • 1 tsp chili powder
    • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
    • Chopped fresh cilantro, optional


    Instructions


    1. In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except cilantro. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted and smooth.

    2. Sprinkle with chopped fresh cilantro, if desired. Serve with tortilla chips.

      Makes 2-1/4 cups.



    Final Comments


    MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS: Combine all ingredients (except cilantro) in a medium, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every 60 seconds, until cheese is melted and smooth.
