    Chili con Queso Dip

    From "Heirlooms & Antidotes: A Cookbook"


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese
    • 1/2 lb. mild Cheddar cheese
    • 1 small can green chiles, chopped
    • 1/2 cup half-and-half
    • 1 tsp ground cumin
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 small jalapeno pepper, minced


    Instructions


    1. Place all ingredients in a double boiler over boiling water, stirring until cheeses are melted and blended well with the spices and chilies.

      Serve with Fritos or taco corn chips for dipping.

      Serves 8
