    Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

    From "The Blue Willow Inn: Bible of Southern Cooking"

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter (no substitutes)
    • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
    • 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
    • 2 Tbsp light brown sugar
    • 3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
    • 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
    • .
    • Graham crackers


    Instructions


    1. In a mixing bowl beat the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla until fluffy.

    2. Gradually add both the confectioners' and light brown sugar and beat until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

    3. Place the cream cheese mixture on a large piece of plastic wrap. Shape into a ball. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Just before serving, roll the cheese ball in the pecans. Serve with the graham crackers (regular or chocolate).

      Makes 15 to 20 servings.
