    Green Chile Won Tons

    List of Ingredients


    • -- Guacamole Dip --
    • 2 large, ripe avocados
    • 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
    • 2 tsp minced green onion
    • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
    • .
    • -- Green Chile Won Tons --
    • 1/2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, grated
    • 1 (4-ounce) can green chiles, chopped
    • 1 pkg. won ton skins
    • Oil for frying


    Instructions


    1. For the Guacamole Dip: Mash pulp of avocado and blend in lime juice. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until used.

    2. For the Green Chile Won Tons: Mix cheese and green chiles. Place 1 teaspoon of the mixture on a won ton skin and fold like an envelope.

    3. Fry won tons in 2 inches of hot oil until brown, turning so that both sides will be brown. Drain.

      Serve won tons hot with guacamole dip.

      Makes 30 won tons.
