Holiday Cheese Ball

- 6 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, at room temperature
- 1 (3-ounce) pkg. cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 cup beer
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup finely chopped parsley

Instructions
- Beat together the Cheddar cheese, cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer or with a food processor until smooth.
- Gradually beat in the Worcestershire sauce, beer, dry mustard and garlic powder. Cover and chill for about 3 hours, or until firm enough to shape into balls. Divide the mixture in half and shape each into a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and again in aluminum foil; refrigerate.
- Remove the cheese balls from refrigeration 2 hours before serving. Combine the walnuts and parsley on a flat plate and roll the cheese balls in the mixture.
Serve with crackers.
Makes 2 (4-inch) balls.
