    Maryland Deviled Crab Dip

    List of Ingredients

    â—¦ ¾ cup finely diced celery
    â—¦ ¾ cup finely diced green pepper
    â—¦ 3 scallions, thinly sliced
    â—¦ ½ cup finely chopped parsley, plus more for garnish
    â—¦ 2 ½ pounds crab meat
    â—¦ ½ cup fine bread crumbs
    â—¦ 1 teaspoon dry mustard
    â—¦ 5 good dashes hot sauce
    â—¦ ½ cup heavy cream
    â—¦ 1 cup butter at room temperature
    â—¦ Kosher salt
    â—¦ 6 cups salad greens
    â—¦ Juice of ½ lemon
    â—¦ 3 tablespoons olive oil
    â—¦ Baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds and toasted

    Recipe

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, toss together celery, green peppers, scallions, and parsley. Add crab meat, half the bread crumbs, dry mustard, hot sauce, heavy cream, and all but 2 tablespoons butter. Season with salt to taste.

    Transfer mixture to a lightly buttered baking dish and top with remaining bread crumbs. Melt remaining butter and brush over top. Bake until crumbs are golden, 10 to 15 minutes.

    Lightly dress salad greens with lemon juice, olive oil, and salt to taste. Serve deviled crab warm with toast and salad on the side.

    Serves 4 to 6
