Mushroom Turnovers

- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup butter
- .

- 4 cups mushrooms, chopped
- 2/3 cup chopped green onions
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1/4 tsp thyme
- 1/4 tsp salt
- .
- 1 egg white, beaten
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- For the crust: Blend all crust ingredients together and chill for 1 hour.
- Saute the mushrooms and onion in butter. Add sour cream, flour, thyme and salt. Cook a few minutes more.
- Roll out half of the dough at a time to 1/8-inch thickness and cut with 2-1/2-inch round cookie cutter.
- Place 1/4 teaspoon of the mushroom mixture in the center of each dough circle. Fold over and press edges gently with fingers. Transfer turnovers to a lightly greased baking sheet. Finish sealing with fork.
- Brush each turnover with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 350 degrees (F) for 20 minutes.
