Tex-Mex Wontons

List of Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 2 Tbsp catsup
- 1/4 cup chopped chilies (of your choice)
- 1 (15-ounce) can refried beans
- 3 Tbsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 dozen wonton skins
- Oil for frying
- .
- Salsa and sour cream for dipping
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef and onions. Drain. Stir in the catsup, chilies, refried beans, chili powder and cumin. Mix well. Let cool a bit and add in the cheeses. Taste to adjust seasonings.
- Place a tablespoon or so of the mixture in the center of a wonton skin. Fold over and seal edges with water. Repeat to use remaining beef mixture and wonton skins.
- Fry wontons in hot oil for about 1 minute per side. Drain on paper towels.
Serve while still warm, with salsa and sour cream for dipping.
