    Source of Recipe

    Phyllis Hoffman Celebrate, Winter 2011

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 (12-ounce) loaf French bread
    • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 tsp Creole seasoning
    • 1 (8-ounce) block Provolone cheese, shredded
    • 1 (8-ounce) block Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
    • 2 (2.25-ounce) cans sliced black olives, drained
    • 1 cup sliced green olives with pimientos

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 400° F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil.

    2. Slice bread in half lengthwise, and place on prepared baking sheet. In a small bowl, combine butter and Creole seasoning. Spread butter mixture evenly on cut sides of bread halves. Top with cheeses and olives.

    3. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until lightly browned and bubbly.

      Makes 10 to 12 servings.
