Side: Easy Coleslaw
Source of Recipe
From "Paula Deen's Southern Cooking Bible"
List of Ingredients
- ¾ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 8 cups shredded green cabbage (1 small head)
- Salt and black pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar.
- Place the cabbage in a large salad bowl. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and toss well to coat. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. This salad can be kept in the refrigerator for up to three days before serving it.

Final Comments
• Classic slaw is a complete do-ahead dish. Unlike a delicate green salad, coleslaw should definitely sit a spell. I like to make it well ahead, at least 2 hours, so that the flavors develop and the cabbage softens up a bit.
