    Grilled Sweet Onions

    From "Pillsbury Complete Cookbook"


    List of Ingredients


    • -- Glaze --
    • 2 Tbsp oil
    • 1 tsp white wine Worcestershire sauce
    • 1/2 to 1 tsp sugar
    • 1/8 tsp salt
    • 1/8 tsp dried oregano leaves
    • .
    • 2 sweet onions (Spanish, Bermuda, Vidalia or Walla Walla), cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices


    Instructions


    1. Heat grill. In small bowl, combine all glaze ingredients; blend well. If desired, place onions in grill basket.

    2. When ready to grill, place onions on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals.

    3. Cook 10 to 15 minutes, or until crisp-tender and lightly browned, brushing both sides with glaze and turning once.

      Makes 4 servings.
