Recipe Introduction
"These savory mushrooms can stand on their own or serve as a hearty topper for steaks or burgers. The splash of red wine gives these mushrooms a sophisticated flavor with very little effort."
List of Ingredients
â—¦ 1 (16-ounce) package baby bella mushrooms, sliced
â—¦ 1 cup chopped white onion
â—¦ 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
â—¦ ¼ cup red wine
â—¦ ½ teaspoon salt
â—¦ ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
â—¦ 3 tablespoons butter, sliced into pats
Recipe
Heat the grill to medium heat. Place the mushrooms, onions, and garlic on a sheet of aluminum foil. You might want to place the aluminum foil in a shallow dish or bowl to keep the liquid from running out.
Pour the wine over the mushrooms, and sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Top the mixture with pats of the butter. Place another sheet of aluminum foil on top, and fold the edges together to seal.
Place the packet on the grill for 10 minutes, flip, and cook for another 10 minutes. Keep the packet sealed until you are ready to serve the mushrooms.
