Recipe Introduction
"This basic sauce works well with any fruit jam. Instead of blackberry, I'll often use our local fig preserves. The key is to balance the sweetness of the fruit with vinegar and mustard."
List of Ingredients
â—¦ 1 tablespoon canola oil
â—¦ 1 onion, chopped
â—¦ 1 ½ cups blackberry or other fruit preserves
â—¦ ¾ cup apple cider vinegar
â—¦ â…” cup ketchup
â—¦ 2 heaping tablespoons Creole mustard
â—¦ 1 clove garlic, minced
â—¦ ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
