- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup country-style Dijon mustard
- 2 (12-ounce) cans beer
- 3 lbs. beef or pork-loin, country-style ribs

- -- BBQ Sauce --
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup catsup
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- In Dutch oven, stir together all rib ingredients (except ribs). Add ribs and cook over high heat until mixture comes to a full boil (5 to 10 minutes). Cover; reduce heat to low. Continue cooking, turning ribs occasionally, until ribs are fork-tender (40 to 50 minutes).
- Meanwhile, prepare grill; heat until coals are ash-white. In a one-quart saucepan, stir together all Barbecue Sauce ingredients.
- Place ribs on grill; brush with barbecue sauce. Grill, brushing with the sauce and turning occasionally, until ribs are done (12 to 15 minutes).
- Cook remaining barbecue sauce over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sauce just comes to a boil (3 to 5 minutes).
Serve barbecue sauce with ribs.
