Recipe Introduction
"This recipe makes 1 cup of crystals, but simply multiply the ingredients proportionately to make as much as you want. And you'll want to make lots for yourself and for gifts. You start this sophisticated concoction with the most humble of ingredients - rock salt, like the kind used in an ice cream maker."
List of Ingredients
• 1 cup coarse rock salt
• 2 to 3 drops food coloring of your choice
• 20 to 25 drops essential oil of your choice
Recipe
Place rock salt in a wide-mouth container with a lid. For each cup of salt, add 2 or 3 drops of food coloring. Mix with a spoon or shake well.
Add 2 or 3 more drops of food coloring at a time, and continue mixing until desired color is reached. To the colored crystals, add 20 to 25 drops of essential oils, mixing or shaking well. Keep in a tightly closed jar or the oil will quickly evaporate.
To Use:
Use 1 or 2 heaping tablespoons in a hot tub.
