    Cleopatra's Milk Bath

    Source of Recipe

From "Hello Glow" by Stephanie Gerber

    Recipe Introduction

"The Egyptian pharaoh was said to bathe in milk to keep her flesh soft and smooth - and if it's good enough for a queen, it's good enough for us. This bath is a lovely, soothing self-care ritual, especially after a long day."

    List of Ingredients

    ◦ 13½-ounce can full-fat coconut milk
    ◦ ¼ cup honey
    ◦ ½ cup full-fat powdered milk

    ◦ Recommended for: All skin types
    ◦ Frequency of use: As needed

    Recipe

Pour the coconut milk into a medium bowl and stir to combine the liquid and coconut cream, if separated. Measure and drizzle in the honey. Stir until the mixture is nice and combined.

Add the powdered milk, which is loaded with lactic acid that exfoliates and softens the skin - plus good fats that nourish. Stir to dissolve.

Pour the mixture into the tub and bathe as usual. If saving some for later, transfer it to a container with a lid and refrigerate. Before using, let the mixture come to room temperature, then add to the bath.

    ◦ Tip: Dealing with a skin rash or bug bites? Grind ½ cup oats and to reduce inflammation.
