Orchid Flower Body Oil

List of Ingredients
- 5 vanilla bean pods
- 1 ounce jojoba oil
- 3 ounces sweet almond oil
- 3 drops grapefruit essential oil
- 2 drops sweet orange essential oil
- 1 drop sandalwood essential oil
- 1 drop rose essential oil
- 1 drop frankincense essential oil
- 1 drop patchouli essential oil
Instructions
- Wash the vanilla bean pods and pat dry. Allow to dry overnight.
Using a knife, carefully split the vanilla bean pods. Use the flat side of the knife to mash the vanilla beans. Place the beans and pods into the jojoba and sweet almond oils, and allow to soak in an airtight container for several weeks. I prefer a minimum of four weeks. Shake the oil and vanilla every few days to ensure the mix.
- Using a cheesecloth, strain the vanilla pods and beans from the oil. You may wish to do this several times, so the oil left behind is as clear as possible. It will be a bit thicker and a tad bit deeper in color after the soaking process. Discard the vanilla beans and pods.
- Add the essential oils to the vanilla-infused oil and shake gently to combine. Place Orchid Flower Body Oil into a convenient flip-top bottle.
Makes 4 ounces.
To Use:
Massage over clean, damp skin to soothe and moisturize. It will leave your skin feeling beautifully scented. You can run a bit through your hair as well. Enjoy!
