    Cocoa: Double Chocolate Hot Chocolate

    List of Ingredients


    • 1-1/3 cups heavy cream
    • 1-1/2 cups whole milk
    • 11 ounces dark chocolate, finely chopped
    • 5 ounces milk chocolate, finely chopped
    • 3 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
    • Pinch of salt


    Instructions


    1. In a saucepan, warm the cream and milk over medium heat, stirring frequently, until hot and bubbling around the edges. Remove the pan from the heat and add the chocolates, cocoa powder and salt. Let sit for 15 seconds, then whisk until smooth.

    2. Pour into espresso or demitasse cups and serve immediately; or let cool and store, covered, in the refrigerator. When ready to serve, reheat in the microwave or a double boiler until hot.

      Makes 6 demitasse servings.
