Cocoa: Snickerdoodle Cocoa

- 8 Tbsp sugar
- 8 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 cups milk
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup cinnamon chips (or 2½ tsp ground cinnamon)
Instructions
- Place the sugar, cocoa powder, salt, milk and vanilla into a heavy medium pot. Cook over low heat until the mixture is smooth and blended. Use a whisk or wooden spoon to stir as it cooks. Make sure the heat stays low so the milk doesn't burn.
To serve, ladle the hot cocoa into mugs. Top each mug with ¼ cup of the cinnamon chips or ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon. Stir to help the chips melt.
Makes 5 (6-ounce) servings.
