Coffee: Classic Latte
Source of Recipe
From "Cook With Me" by Alex Guarnaschelli
Recipe Introduction
"Latte is a fancy-pants term for an espresso mixed with frothed milk. You can also make it with regular brewed coffee, which is technically a café au lait. Experiment with different espresso flavors and blends until you find the one you like. Personally, I love a nutty coffee bean with some cocoa-y notes."
List of Ingredients
â—¦ 2 cups whole milk
â—¦ â…” cup brewed espresso, hot
Recipe
In a small saucepan, heat the milk, whisking as it heats, until it comes to a simmer and becomes foamy. (Alternatively, microwave the milk until hot and then whisk until foamy; or if you have an espresso maker that froths milk, you can use it to froth the milk.)
Divide the hot espresso between two cups and pour half of the frothed milk over each.
Serve immediately.
