List of Ingredients



• 1 cup unsweetened cocoa
  
• 1 cup sugar
  
• ¼ cup instant espresso
  
• 2 cups half-and-half
  
• 6 cups milk
  
• 4 tsp vanilla extract
  
• Sweetened whipped cream
  
• Chocolate syrup
  






Instructions



1. Whisk together first 4 ingredients in a large saucepan. Cook, whisking constantly, over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
   
   
2. Whisk in milk; cook over medium-high heat, whisking constantly, 5 minutes or until very hot. (Do not boil.) Whisk in vanilla.
   
   
3. Pour chocolate mixture into mugs; top with whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup.
   
   Makes about 10 cups.
   
   
   To make a Hot Mudslide:
   Omit espresso. Stir ½ cup Kahlua, ½ cup Baileys Irish Crème and, if desired, ¼ cup vodka into the hot milk mixture along with the vanilla. Proceed as directed.
