    Float: Raspberry Ice Cream Soda

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup melba sauce (see note)
    • 4 cups soda water or seltzer, chilled
    • 8 scoops raspberry ice cream
    • 1/2 cup sweetened whipped cream


    Instructions


    1. For each serving: Pour 1/4 cup of the melba sauce into a tall chilled glass. Add 1/4 cup of the soda water and stir until blended.

    2. Place 2 scoops ice cream in the glass and fill with 3/4 cup soda. Serve with whipped cream on the top.

      Makes 4 to 6 servings.

      NOTE: A melba sauce can be made by pureeing 1 (10-ounce) package frozen raspberries in light syrup with 2 teaspoons sugar. Strain before using.
