Spirited: Mint Julep a la Creole

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 6 sprigs of fresh mint (plus more for decoration)
- 3 lumps sugar
- 1 Tbsp good brandy or whiskey
- A bit of lemon and orange peel
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Finely crushed ice
- 2 ripe strawberries
- Crushed sugar
Instructions
- Take one large glass, half-filled with water; add 6 sprigs of fresh mint and 3 lumps of sugar. Stir well, until the sugar is absorbed. Add the brandy or whiskey; stir well. Add the lemon and orange peel and the lemon juice. Fill the glass with crushed ice; decorate with sprigs of mint. Place a few strawberries on top and sprinkle lightly with crushed sugar.
