Tea: Chocolate Chai

List of Ingredients
- 1 black tea bag (such as orange pekoe, English breakfast, lapsang souchong, or Darjeeling)
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 3 Tbsp raw sugar or granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- Whipped cream
- Cinnamon sticks
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, pour boiling water over tea bag. Cover and let stand 3 to 5 minutes. Remove tea bag.
- Stir the sugar and cocoa into the tea. Cook and stir over medium heat just until mixture comes to boiling. Stir in milk, vanilla, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg; heat through (do not boil).
- To serve:
Pour hot mixture into warm mugs. Top each serving with a spoonful of whipped cream, and add cinnamon stick as a stirrer.
Makes 2 to 3 servings.
