Tea: Dairy-Free Matcha Latte

Recipe Introduction
"Matcha tea tastes like a cup of great green tea crashed into a fresh lime. I love the tang of the matcha combined with the almond and coconut notes from the two milks in this recipe. I make this latte unsweetened and then add honey to it before drinking. I also sometimes like to sweeten it with dark brown sugar."

â—¦ 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
â—¦ 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
â—¦ 2 tablespoons matcha powder
Recipe
Make the latte:
In a small saucepan, heat the almond and coconut milks, whisking as they come to a simmer and become foamy. (Alternatively, microwave the milks until hot and then whisk until foamy; or if you have an espresso maker that froths milk, you can use it to froth the milks.)
Make the tea:
Heat ½ cup of water to a simmer in a small saucepan. Remove the pan from the heat and whisk in the matcha powder until smooth. Divide the hot matcha between two cups and pour half of the frothed milk over each.
Serve immediately.
