    Cowboy Cornmeal Rolls

    List of Ingredients


    • ¼ cup butter, softened
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 2/3 cup yellow cornmeal
    • 2 Tbsp sugar
    • 1½ tsp baking powder
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ¼ tsp baking soda
    • ½ cup cold butter, cut into pieces
    • 1 cup milk
    • ½ cup sour cream


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Generously grease each cup of a 12-cup muffin pan with softened butter; set aside.

    2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Using a pastry blender or fork, cut cold butter into flour mixture until crumbly. Add milk and sour cream; stir to mix well.

    3. Spoon batter into each muffin cup, filling three-fourths full. Bake for 30 minutes, or until rolls are golden brown.

      Makes 1 dozen.
