    Baked Peach French Toast

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups brown sugar
    • 1 cup butter
    • 4 Tbsp butterscotch or peach schnapps
    • 1 (29-ounce) can sliced peaches packed in syrup
    • 1 loaf French bread, cubed
    • 1 dozen eggs
    • 3-1/2 cups milk
    • 2 Tbsp vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Drain peaches and reserve syrup.

    2. Heat sugar and butter on medium-low heat until melted. Add schnapps and continue cooking until sauce becomes thick and foamy. Pour into a 10 x 14-inch baking dish and cool for 10 minutes.

    3. Place peaches on cooled caramel sauce and cover with cubes of bread. Beat eggs, milk and vanilla, and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours.

    4. Preheat oven to 350º F.

    5. Bake mixture for 30 minutes. Remove pan from oven, cover with foil, and bake another 30 minutes, or until knife comes out clean when fully inserted to the bottom. Serve with warm peach syrup or maple syrup.

      Makes up to 18 servings.
