    Brown Sugar and Sriracha Bacon

    Source of Recipe

From "It's Not Complicated" by Katie Lee

    Recipe Introduction

"As if bacon isn't good enough on its own, let's add sugar and spice. Now it's truly everything nice. (Sorry, I'm corny and I couldn't resist!) This bacon is great for breakfast or brunch, but I also love it as a cocktail-hour snack or even as a garnish for a Bloody Mary. You can also try substituting sambal or harissa for the sriracha, or if those are too spicy for you, just use Dijon mustard."

    List of Ingredients

    â—¦ 10 slices regular-cut bacon (thick-cut won't crisp up enough)
â—¦ 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
    â—¦ 2 tablespoons sriracha

    Recipe

Preheat the oven to 400° F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and top with a wire rack.
    Spray with nonstick cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar and sriracha. Mix well. Add the bacon and toss to coat.

Transfer the bacon to the wire rack. Bake for 12 minutes, until browned and crispy. Let cool slightly, then serve.

    Makes 4 to 6 servings
