    Campari Broiled Grapefruit

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 large pink or ruby grapefruit
    • 2 Tbsp Campari
    • 1-1/2 Tbsp light brown sugar
    • 1-1/2 Tbsp granulated sugar
    • 1/4 level tsp ground allspice (do not overmeasure)


    Instructions


    1. Preheat broiler. Cut each grapefruit in half crosswise and loosen each section with a small paring knife or grapefruit knife. Place grapefruit halves, cut side up, on a broiler pan or baking sheet. Sprinkle Campari over grapefruit.

    2. In a small bowl, combine both sugars with allspice, mixing well. Divide sugar mixture evenly among the grapefruit halves, patting out to form an even layer of sugar almost to the edges of each piece.

    3. Place pan under preheated broiler and broil until browned and bubbly, about 5 minutes. Serve immediately.

      Makes 4 servings.
