    Dungeness Crab & Tillamook Cheddar Strata

    List of Ingredients


    • 2-1/2 cups half-and-half
    • 6 eggs
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 12 slices of Gai's sliced French bread, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
    • 12 ounces of Tillamook shredded medium Cheddar cheese
    • 12 ounces fresh Dungeness crab meat
    • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
    • .
    • -- Sauce --
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 2 Tbsp half-and-half
    • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
    • ...(Mix sauce ingredients together and refrigerate til serving time)...


    Instructions


    1. Butter a 9x13-inch baking pan. In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs and cream until well blended. Add salt.

    2. Spread half of the bread cubes in the baking pan. Sprinkle over half of the shredded cheese. Evenly distribute the crab over cheese and bread cubes. Sprinkle with the green onions. Then mix the remaining bread cubes and cheese together and sprinkle evenly over crab. Carefully pour the egg and cream mixture over the top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

    3. In the morning: Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F).

    4. Remove plastic wrap and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until firm in the center. Cut in squares and serve with the sour cream sauce.
