Recipe Introduction
"This salad only works with the best local fruit. With fruit that fresh, almost any combination is great. Just toss the cut fruit with the Champagne and mint. It's the perfect way to begin a brunch — or to end it as a dessert. Even better, you can purée leftover fruit and freeze it for a delicious sorbet."
List of Ingredients
â—¦ 1 cup Champagne
â—¦ ¼ cup sugar
â—¦ Leaves from 2 sprigs fresh mint, minced
â—¦ 2 cups mixed berries (such as blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries)
â—¦ 2 cups diced melon (honeydew, cantaloupe, watermelon) or segmented citrus
â—¦ 1 cup sliced stone fruit (plums, nectarines, peaches)
Recipe
Whisk together the Champagne, sugar, and mint in a small bowl.
Select a beautiful serving bowl and spoon in the berries and chopped fruit. Pour the Champagne mixture over the fruit and toss gently to mix.
