Ham and Egg Bake with Hollandaise Sauce

    Source of Recipe

From "Tasty Ultimate" by Buzzfeed, Inc.

    Recipe Introduction

"To upgrade your brunch game, stop right here. Hollandaise sauce might sound like something only a pro chef can whip up, but a blender or food processor makes it foolproof. Before you know it, you'll be pouring buttery sauce over your very own biscuit, ham, and egg creation."

    List of Ingredients

    â—¦ 1 (16-ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
    â—¦ 1 cup chopped deli-style ham
    â—¦ 1 ½ cups whole milk
â—¦ ¼ cup finely chopped fresh chives, plus more for serving
    â—¦ 1 teaspoon kosher salt
â—¦ 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    â—¦ 8 large eggs

    Hollandaise:
â—¦ 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    â—¦ ½ teaspoon kosher salt
    â—¦ 2 large egg yolks
    â—¦ Pinch of cayenne
â—¦ 4 tablespoons (½ stick) unsalted butter, melted and kept hot

    Recipe

Preheat the oven to 350° F.

Open the can of biscuits and cut each round into 9 pieces. Evenly spread the pieces over the bottom of a 9-by-13-inch baking dish (they won't cover the entire bottom of the dish), then distribute the ham among the pieces.

Stir together the milk, chives, salt, pepper, and eggs in a large bowl. Pour the egg mixture over the biscuit pieces and ham. Bake until everything is puffed and set in the middle, about 35 minutes.

Meanwhile, make the hollandaise: Combine the lemon juice, salt, egg yolks, and cayenne in a blender or food processor. With the motor running, gradually pour in the hot melted butter until fully emulsified and smooth.

Slice the egg bake into 12 squares and set each one on a plate. Pour some hollandaise sauce over the top and sprinkle with chives before serving.

    Serves 12
