    Mom's Egg Casserole

    From "Women Who Eat" by Leslie Miller


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb. bulk pork sausage, diced, browned and drained
    • 6 slices white sandwich bread, cut into squares (no crusts)
    • 2 cups milk
    • 4 eggs, beaten
    • Dash of Tabasco
    • 1 tsp dry mustard
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/4 lb. grated Velveeta or Cheddar cheese


    Instructions


    1. Mix all ingredients; pour into an 8x8-inch pan and refrigerate overnight or 12 hours.

    2. Cover with foil. Bake at 325 degrees (F) for 1 hour.

    3. Remove foil for the last 15 minutes. Casserole is done when center has set. Cool slightly and enjoy.

      Serves 4
