Shake 'n' Bacon Bites

Recipe Introduction
"It's the Great Bacon Debate: Cook it on the stovetop or bake it in the oven? For small-batch bacon, I'm all about sizzling up a few slices in a pan on the stove. But when it comes to bacon for a crowd, and especially *candied* bacon for a crowd, the oven is best. A sweet side dish is always welcome at my breakfast table, and this version in bite-size form tastes just as great served alongside eggs or pancakes as it does atop a salad or baked potato. Shake up your bacon in a bag with maple syrup, Dijon, and black pepper for minimum mess and maximum flavor in every crispy, crunchy bite."
List of Ingredients
â—¦ ¼ cup maple syrup
â—¦ 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
â—¦ ½ teaspoon black pepper
â—¦ 1 (12-ounce) package thick-cut bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
Recipe
Preheat the oven to 325° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large sealable plastic bag, whisk together the maple syrup, mustard, and pepper. Add the bacon pieces to the bag, seal it, and shake until the bacon is evenly coated. Arrange the bacon pieces in a single layer on the baking sheet.
Bake the bacon for 25 to 35 minutes, rotating the pan once halfway through, until all of the fat has rendered and the bacon is cooked through. The bacon will crisp as it cools. Remove the bacon from the oven, let cool completely on the baking sheet, then serve.
