    Smoky Brown Sugar Bacon

    • 3 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
    • 24 slices applewood smoked bacon


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 425°. Spread brown sugar onto a large plate; dredge half of bacon in sugar, pressing to be sure plenty of sugar sticks to both sides of bacon.

    2. Place bacon in a single layer on a large baking rack on an aluminum foil-lined rimmed baking sheet. Bake at 425° for 18 to 20 minutes or until crisp.

    3. Remove bacon from rack to a serving platter or parchment paper to cool. Repeat with remaining bacon and brown sugar.

      Makes 24 slices.
