Maple-Yogurt Smoothie
Source of Recipe
From "Maple Syrup Cookbook" by Ken Haedrich
Recipe Introduction
"Almost unlimited possibilities, of course, abound for maple smoothies. I've used bananas here, but soft berries in season are also terrific; any soft fruit will work. You can make spiked versions by adding a compatible spirit or liqueur — Kahlúa would be good in this version, for instance. Let your imagination guide you, bearing in mind the proportions of yogurt to maple and fruit."
List of Ingredients
â—¦ 1 cup plain yogurt
â—¦ ½ cup milk
â—¦ â…“ cup pure maple syrup
â—¦ 1 ripe banana, peeled
â—¦ Pinch of ground cinnamon
â—¦ Several ice cubes, crushed
Recipe
Combine the yogurt, milk, maple syrup, banana, and cinnamon in a blender.
Add the crushed ice and process until smooth. It's fine if shards of ice remain after the blending. Serve at once.
