    Syrup: Blueberry Syrup

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup (6 ounces) fresh or frozen blueberries
    • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
    • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice


    Instructions


    1. Cook berries in syrup in a small heavy saucepan over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until they have burst, 3 to 6 minutes. Pour syrup through a sieve into a heatproof pitcher, pressing on solids; discard solids. Stir in lemon juice.

      Makes about 1 cup.


    Final Comments


    The syrup keeps, refrigerated, in an airtight container, for up to 5 days. Reheat before serving.
