    Walnut-Almond Granola

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup honey
    • 1/2 cup canola oil
    • 2 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 tsp almond extract
    • 2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
    • 5 cups bran flakes cereal
    • 2-1/4 cups old-fashioned oats
    • 1-3/4 cups sliced almonds
    • 1-3/4 cups walnuts, coarsely chopped
    • 1-1/3 cups sweetened flaked coconut
    • 1-1/2 cups golden raisins


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 325° F. Mix first 4 ingredients and cinnamon, if desired, in small saucepan. Stir over medium heat just until warm.

    2. Mix cereal and next 4 ingredients in large bowl. Pour warm honey mixture over and toss to coat. Divide granola mixture between 2 rimmed baking sheets, spreading evenly.

    3. Bake until golden brown, stirring every 5 minutes, about 25 minutes total. Sprinkle raisins over and cool completely. (Can be made 1 week ahead. Store in airtight container at room temperature.)

      Serve with milk or yogurt.

      Makes 10 to 12 servings.
