    Chewy Fudgy Brownies

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate
    • 1 stick unsalted butter
    • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
    • 1-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1-1/4 cups sugar
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • 1-1/4 cups walnut pieces


    Instructions


    1. Heat oven to 350° F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.

    2. Melt the chocolate and butter together over low heat, stirring constantly. Or melt in the microwave on full power in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth. Whisk the eggs and vanilla together in a medium-size bowl. Add the chocolate mixture and whisk to combine. The mixture will thicken considerably. Keep whisking until very smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend with a spatula or a wooden spoon.

    3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and level out the top. Bake about 45 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean when inserted in the center. (For a more chewy brownie, bake 5 minutes longer.) Cool in the pan at least 2 hours before cutting.
